On 6 May 2017 at 8 pm, Alexander Liebreich will conduct the Munich Chamber Orchestra and the RIAS Chamber Choir in a performance of Beethoven’s only oratorio, Christ on the Mount of Olives, as well as Arvo Pärt’s Te Deum, written in 1984.
The MCO has frequently been a guest of the RIAS Chamber Choir. In Berlin’s Kammermusiksaal, the two ensembles will perform with Liebreich, who was the orchestra’s Artistic Director and Principal Conductor until 2016, as well as the soloists Simona Šaturová, Benjamin Bruns, and Stephan Genz. The same program was presented in Munich’s Prinzregententheater in Febraury 2017.
