The ECM Records recording of Tigran Mansurian’s “Requiem” was honored by the Recording Academy with two nominations in the categories “Best Choral Performance” and “Best Contemporary Classical Composition” for the 60th Grammy Awards. The production with the RIAS Kammerchor and the Münchener Kammerorchester was recorded under the direction of Alexander Liebreich. Also the jury of the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA) nominated the highly acclaimed recording in the category “Contemporary Music”.
The final winners of both awards will be announced in January 2018.
