On 23 March 2017 at 8 pm, the now-traditional charity concert for the victims of AIDS will take place for the 11th year in a row. The Munich Chamber Orchestra will perform under the direction of Alexander Liebreich, who was the orchestra’s Principal Conductor until this past season.

Once again this year, the program will feature a number of renowned soloists: the mezzosoprano Okka von der Damerau, the cellist Daniel Müller-Schott, the pianist Boris Giltburg, and the violinist Sergey Khachatryan will play works by Brahms, Beethoven, and Haydn. The proceeds from this performance, under the patronage of Munich Mayor Dieter Reiter, will benefit the assisted living facilities of Aids-Hilfe München.

Concert Program:
Ludwig van Beethoven – Piano Concerto No. 2 in Bb major Op. 19
Joseph Haydn – Cello concerto No. 1 in C major Hob. Vlla:1
Johannes Brahms – Alto Rhapsody Op. 53, Violin Concerto in D major Op. 77
