Alexander Liebreich opens the first season as chief conductor and artistic director of the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra (PRSO) at Prag’s Rudolfinum on 5th November. Soloist of the evening is Czech oboist Vilém Veverka. Carl Maria von Weber’s overture of “Oberon”, Richard Strauss’s Oboe Concerto in D major, Modest Mussorgsky’s “Night on Bald Mountain” as well as Leoš Janáček’s “Taras Bulba” (Rhapsody for Orchestra) are part of the programm. On 9th and 15th November Alexander Liebreich will be conducting two more concerts with the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice and one more at the Musikverein in Vienna on 17th November featuring pianist Szymon Nehring.
