„Whether it is Mahler, Brahms or Strauss – they all had their places of retreat in the mountains where they were inspired for their great compositions“, says Alexander Liebreich. „Not only the majestic breadth, the quietness and dignity of the mountain landscapes, but also the particular acoustics and the unique soundscapes found their way into their music. To understand this as a conductor, you have to be familiar with those natural spaces.“

The film shows Alexander Liebreich visiting the ski jumping world cup at Zakopane and the opening concert of the spectacular new concert hall at Katowice. In the High Tatras and Slesia, in the Bavarian alps, on the mount Säntis at Appenzell: Alexander Liebreich present his different mountain and sound landscapes.
