The opening of the third edition of the festival Katowice Kultura Natura under the artistic direction of Alexander Liebreich will take place on 12 May. Overriding theme of this year’s edition is “Earth”. The festival will host the Budapest Festival Orchestra with its conductor and director Iván Fischer as ensemble-in-residence. Among others, the audience will enjoy concert nights featuring the Artemis Quartett, Bejun Mehta with the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, the Belgian ensemble Graindelavoix, the Kaunas State Chorus, jazz legend Enrico Rava, the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra and soloists as Michael Nagy or Dietrich Henschel.
