The Richard Strauss Festival 2017 begins on 24 June. Incoming Artistic Director Alexander Liebreich will already be responsible for two of this year’s programs. On 29 June, he will conduct an Opera Gala featuring some of Strauss’s most beautiful arias and duets with the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra (NOSPR) and artists such as Christina Landshamer, Michelle Breedt, Krassimira Styanova, and Michael Weinius.
Another concert on 30 June will mark the conclusion and artistic high point of the festival, with the NOSPR and Alexander Liebreich performing “Eine Alpensinfonie” in the Alpsitzhalle.
